El gen Nemo lo descubrió David Baltimore (Premio
Nobel 1975) en 1980. NEMO viene de las palabras Nuclear Factor
Kappa B Essential Modifier. Es un gen que se encuentra en el
citoplasma de la la mayoria de las celulas de los tejidos. Se encarga
de regular comunicación importante entre la membrana de la célula y el
núcleo de la célula. NFKB es la proteina que viaja al nucleo para
mandar estas señales. Es un switch maestro que regula informacion de
la piel, huesos, venas, entre otros.
